Name/Title BOX, REWAREWA
Brief Description A square lidded box with hinged lid and bottom lip, known as the Rewarewa Box in the Sovereign catalogue (number 084). Square geometric pattern runs horizontally across centre of lid and the sides are made from rewarewa. Timber names are stamped on the inside of lid. Timbers included in the box are rewarea, matai, kohekohe, pukatea, tanekaha, tawhai. Gold sticker on the base reads "MADE IN/NEW ZEALAND/SOVEREIGN/WOODWARE."
