Brief Description This black and white photograph is of the Aramoho Boating Club Winner of the Four Oar Shell at the British Empire Games in 1950, mounted on cream card.

The main image is of the rowing four with their cox, aboard a boat on the Whanganui River, with an overlay of the British Empire Games emblem at the bottom. The team is identified as C Johnstone, E Johnson, J O'Brien, W James and W Carroll (a).

The lower edge of the mount also features smaller photographic portraits of coach D Holmes (b) and the emergency (or reserve) D Morrison (c).
