| Brief Description |
A circular stainless steel ashtray (a) with a flat base and three attached rounded notches can be inserted into a wooden base (b), which has a circular cup made from laminated New Zealand native timbers. The base has a rounded knob and a tapering stem. The tip of the base has an indentation to hold the ashtray. Inside the indentation, ''Sovereign'' has been burnt into the wood. The top of the base comprises twelve wedge-shaped pieces of timbers, names of which are burnt into the outer edge of its rim. They include kawa, rimu, kauri and pukatea. The base has a gold Sovereign label attached.
