Name/Title LEASE; R T Davis to C L Bridges
Brief Description This document is the original Memorandum of Lease (a) drawn up confirming the lease of land owned by Robert Taylor Davis to Clifford Lawrence Bridges. The land in was in Aramoho, and the lease period for 22 years with rent increasing every four years. The lease is hand-written in black ink on heavy paper with red ruled borders and held together at the spine with green ribbon. It is signed by both Davis and Bridges and a small map of the land is drawn on the third page. The lease has several stamps: District Agent Wanganui; Barton & Wray Solicitors Wanganui; Wellington District Land Registrar; and a Wanganui postmark and a 2s 6d postage stamp.

The lease was enclosed in a long envelope (b) addressed to L E Bridges, son of Clifford Lawrence Bridges, who operated his business, Bridges' Barbers, at the premises for many years.
