Name/Title GAME; BACKGAMMON SET
Brief Description This Chinese Backgammon set has counters made from mother of pearl. It comprises nine rectangular counters (one broken) with the Poyle family crest on one side and a coastal village scene on the other; 51 fish-shaped counters (three with broken tails) with scales on one side, and on the other a Chimera with a lion's head and serpent tail; one eye-shaped counter with a cross-hatch pattern on one side and flower designs on the other. The counters are stored in a tin container with enamel panels featuring floral borders and central floral designs.
