A sepia toned photograph mounted on white card, taken from the east side of the Whanganui Town Bridge and looking up Victoria Avenue. A man on a horse and cart is stopped at the end of the bridge with another man standing next to it talking to the driver, while further horse and carts re visible travelling up and down Victoria Avenue. The open gates to the bridge can be seen on either side of the bridge.
