Name/Title PHOTOGRAPH; Wanganui Rowing Club, Senior Crew
Brief Description A black and white photograph of the Wanganui Rowing Club Senior Crew of 1899. This crew won the Senior Rigger and Clinker Fours, the Wanganui Regatta, and came second in he Four-oared Championship in Auckland that year.
The crew all wear white uniforms with black striped strips on their shirts and pose in front of the doors of a rowing club with a pair of crossed oars behind them. The cox is seated in the centre, with two men standing and seated on either side of him.
The team are identified as A.H. Lewis (bow), E.J. LeCren (3), G.S. Lewis (cox), J.R. Orford (stroke), H.P. Lewis (2).
