Written on the reverse of the frame is: John Pawson, arrived Whanganui from Doncaster, England, February 1858. His eldest daughter, Elizabeth Remington, born Doncaster 16/2/57 died Whanganui 1947. Her elder daughter Maude Bruce, born Whanganui 1881, died Wanganui 1968. Her elder daughter, Nancy Maude, Elizabeth Bruce, born Whanganui.
