Brief Description A black and white photograph mounted on green card, of six men who paddled a canoe upriver from the Wanganui Town Bridge to Pipiriki in 24 hours. The photograph identifies the crew (sitting) from left to right as G Townall who later became Mayor of Marton, T Meldrum, Whiggell and W A Wehean (?). The group are dressed in suits. The crew hold straw hats in the laps. Two unidentified men stand at the back. The man in the middle is holding an oar.
