Black and white photograph of a "Dsc" class diesel shunting locomotive on the linkspan at the Welington Rail Ferry Terminal. The locomotive shunts wagons into the vehicle deck of the rail ferry Aromoana for transfer to Picton in the South Island. A railway worker can be seen standing on the front platform of the locomotive.The sea and wharf can also be seen in the photo.
