Name/Title BAYONET AND SCABBARD; 1890 PATTERN, TURKISH
Brief Description A single-edged, single fullered, pointed steel blade has a steel hooked quillon cross guard and pommel and wooden grips held by two rivets. Its leather scabbard has a steel chape and mouth piece and frog button.

These weapons were used by Turkish soldiers during World War I. The scabbard has a bullet hole in it, but the blade is undamaged, so the bayonet was not in the scabbard when it was damaged.
