Brief Description This Turkish Mauser rifle and bayonet were taken from Gallipoli on 15 July 1915.

The rifle is a Model 1890, 7.65 calibre. The bayonet is a single-edged, single-fullered, pointed steel blade, with a hooked quillon cross guard and wooden grips fixed by two rivets. It also has a steel pommel and spring clip but has no scabbard.
