This black and white carte de visite photograph of Mr Thomas Daniel Bullen of Whanganui is a modern reprint of an original studio portrait. In a head and torso pose, Bullen wears a fastened double-breasted jacket with a white collar and a black tailored tie. He has a moustache and mutton-chop beard and short cropped hair.
Thomas Daniel Bullen was born in 1833 and died on 29 August 1888 at Wanganui Hospital, aged 53 years. He came to Whanganui in around 1860 and served in the local Militia.
