This black and white photograph is of a southbound railcar, the "Blue Streak" number 507 at Takapau Road, in the Wellington district, in 1977. The railcar has just gone under a motor vehicle bridge. There are trees along the side of the track and the road can be seen. In the background there are several houses built on the hill. It appears that there are road works being carried out as there are large concrete pipes lined up alongside the road.
