Black and white photograph of train 605 at Paraparaumu circa 1974.The train seems to be on an unused line as there is grass growing between the tracks. The front of the engine has 1411 on the fender and also on both sides at the top front of the engine. Beside the engine is a small building sitting well off the ground. A long ladder leads up this building. May be a water tank? A man can be seen with his right arm out as if signalling another train.
