Brief Description	This fire screen has a frame made of chrome tubing with a plywood insert, onto which is hand-painted in oils an image of the Whanganui River, banked with native trees and bush, with Mount Ruapehu in the distance. The painting is protected by a sheet of glass on the front. An simple arc handle made of chrome is attached to centre top of the frame. On the painted panel is the title and artist's signature, ''MOUNT RUAPEHU / E. H.''
