This porcelain corner sink with nickel hot and cold taps, a rubber plug attached to a chain and two ribbed receptacles for soap, comes complete with its original lead pipes.
The basin was installed in Sedgebrook House, a large home on a farm estate belonging to the settler family of Nixon, in Wanganui East. It was removed from the Sedgebrook House when it was demolished in around 1963. The basin is stamped with its manufacture date and cast number: 02.11.03/5.
