Name/Title MENU; Supper for HRH the Prince of Wales
Brief Description A souvenir menu from supper as part of the RSA reception and concert in honour of the visit of His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, which was held at the Opera House in Wanganui on 30 April 1920.

Menu for a supper given in honour of the Prince of Wales on 4 May 1920.
This menu is in the form of a small folder opening upwards, in heavy cream card. The front cover has printed, in gold, the Prince of Wales' crest of three plumes with "ICH DIEN" on a scroll beneath with a double blue line running diagonally over the page and the text in gold print, "Supper / in honour of / His Royal Highness / the / Prince of Wales". At lower left is the planned day of the supper, "Wanganui, / April 30th, 1920." In fact, the Royal Tour schedule was changed and the supper took place on 4 May 1920 in Wanganui.

The inner upper page has in gold print an image of two kiwi grazing under tree ferns and text written beneath "Haere mai e te Kotuku Rereng a tahi / te Manuhiri tu arangi. - / Welcome to His Royal Highness the / Visitor of Victory".

The inner lower page is printed, again in gold, with the menu. It starts off with "Now good digestion / wait on appetite / and health on both." / Shakespeare. The menu is listed: Olives, Devilled Almonds, Sandwiches (Assorted) Patties of Chicken a la Rossini, Oyster Patties, Sardine Eclairs, Anchovy Straws, Cheese Straws, Vanilla meringues, Decorated Gateaux, Sant Totte Cake, Venetian Slices, Geonese Fancies, Glaces Fours, Petit Choux, Othellos, Tartlets a la Creme, Fruits in Season, Tea, Coffee, Claret Cup.

The caterer's name is printed at lower left: "Dustin's Ltd., Premier Caterers. / Wanganui, Wellington and Palmerston North".

The back cover has "Wanganui Herald / Print" in gold lettering.
