Name/Title RACK, TOAST
Brief Description A wooden toast rack made from laminated New Zealand native timbers and cane. The base is made from tawa with a film strip pattern down the centre made from rimu, rewarewa, totara, pukatea, kauri, matai, hinau, kaikawaka, taraire and miro laminated together in strips and rectangles. A long handle made from rewarewa is in the centre with three bent cane racks either side.
On the base is a label with the makers mark ""Sovereign"/NATIVE TIMBERS OF NEW ZEALAND" printed on it accompanied by a list of the woods used.
Timbers are : Rimu, rewarewa, totara, pukatea, kauri, matai, hinau, kaikawaka, taraire, miro.
