Name/Title CANDLESTICK
Brief Description A wooden double candlestick made from laminated native New Zealand timbers. Candleholder has a rectangular base and a rectangular upright piece made of eight different woods in horizontal strips with a free form cutout in centre which has rounded sides. This is surmounted by two circular brass sockets to hold the candles.
On the bottom of base is a rectangular shaped label with ""Sovereign/ NEW ZEALAND TIMBERS" printed on it accompanied by a list of the woods used, which are pukatea, kaikawaka ,tawa, kahikatea, matai, rewarewa, rimu, taiaire and kauri.
