This is the programme from the Wanganui Service of Thanksgiving, held in Cooks Gardens in Wanganui at 2.00 pm (exact date unknown) on the second of two days' holiday to mark the cessation of hostilities with Japan in 1945. A paper was folded vertically down the centre with printed text on each of the four resulting pages. The programme shows the order of events at the service and includes the words to the National Anthem, hymns, a general thanksgiving, and the statements and responses to be given by the minister and public respectively.
