Brief Description |
This black and white photograph of the Tyerman family was taken outside beside a fence and large toitoi. Amy Tyerman sits on a gig with a black horse hitched to it while John Tyerman, her husband, stands at the horse's head with a dog at his feet. Their young son, Frank Vernon (born 1891), sits on a tricycle next to the back wheel of the gig while their daughter Gertrude (born 1887), stands with her hands on the shaft. The horse was named Darkie and the dog was named Shot. The photograph was taken by Burton at "The Studio" in Hasting and mounted on a beige backing card.
