A mortgage document on heavy paper, hand written in black ink with highlighting in red.
The mortgage agreement was drawn up between Mrs Celia Hall of Aramoho and her husband Frederick, and Mr William Ashfield of Wanganui, for the sale of a property at the corner of Perham Place and Roberts Avenue in Aramoho, Wanganui, for a total of one hundred pounds. The document was witnessed by Robert Ward, the Resident Magistrate for the District of Wanganui, and signed on 21 June 1884. It was updated and signed on 23 December 1890 confirming that all money had been paid.
