Name/Title PIPE, SMOKING
Brief Description This billiard style smoking pipe has a briar wood bowl, an amber mouthpiece and a silver fitting on the top edge of the bowl and over the mortise.

On the silver mounts are the maker's marks, "A F", which stand for Arthur Fenwick who was a silversmith in Manchester, England. There are also assay marks of an anchor and a lion and a date mark "d". The assay marks are from Birmingham, England and date to 1903.

The pipe comes with its own hinged case which is a wooden mould covered in fine black leather with a yellow velvet lining. The interior of the case has the markings "KIA-ORA / SPECIAL" and "STERLING SILVER". The exterior of the case has "VIENNA MADE" impressed into it.
