Brief Description A black and white photograph showing the flooding from the Whanganui River, that occured at the intersection of Taupo Quay and Victoria Avenue in Whanganui. Photograph was taken from under the veranda of a shop and looks over the flooded street, with people on horses and in horse drawn carts making their way up the Avenue. A large number of people can be seen waiting at the end of the Town Bridge. James Thain & Co. can be seen on the right side.
