Sepia photograph of the Whanganui River in flood with a northwest view from Durie Hill, Whanganui. The waters are flooding Taupo Quay on the west bank, and furner north on the east bank the area that became Kowhai Park is also under water. One house is visible on the near side of the river, close to the water.
Photograph has been mounted on cream card.
