Brief Description |
A black and white photograph of Somme Parade in Whanganui, taken from Bastia Hill and looking across the river. Queens Park School is seen near centre, with Rutland Stockade to left. An inscription below the photograph reads: "first house where Lindsay Tremlett was born. 2. Roysten House - Ladies college where Grandma Crawford went to school for 7 years". Pen marks with "X" and arrows on front surface indicate the houses. Adhered to the reverse is a copy of a sketch titled "The Crisis" by F Dicksee, A.R.A. The print shows a man watching an ill woman while she rests in bed.
