Name/Title PHOTOGRAPH: The "Stormbird" on the Whanganui River
Brief Description A sepia photo mounted on card of the "Stormbird" near the mouth of the Whanganui River. The photograph was taken from the river bank and looks towards the vessel sailing down the centre of the river. The tops of flax bushes are visible in the foreground with houses on the opposite riverbank
The "Stormbird" was built in Clyde in 1854 and wrecked in Whanganui in 1916.
