| Brief Description |
A black and white photograph of the Wanganui Collegiate Football field taken circa 1895. The field is being used for an athletics meet and a man is in the process of completing a high jump. The jump is set in the centre of a clearing with the main jumping over the bar and the two judges looking on from either side. A crowd of people is gathered behind watching.
This section of the field is now a portion of Nelson St, Wanganui Bowling Green and Wanganui Tennis Courts.
