A black and white photograph of the construction of the North Mole at the entrance to the Whanganui River mouth. The view looks down the rocky mole with railwau tracks leading to teh beacon at the end. Three men stand midway down the rail line and watch the waves crash over the end. Photograph has been mounted on white backing card.
